Department of Political Science
Political Science is an offshoot of Social Science. It is a multidisciplinary field that integrates knowledge, hypothesis and research methods that apply to all political relations. The department takes various steps to create interest about the subject among the students. There is a well stocked departmental library which provides necessary text and reference books to the students. Along with theoretical teaching the students are given an opportunity of practical experience of working on the democratic governance of the country .For this purpose, the department takes various initiatives and organizes educational tour of its students.
Political Science as a discipline is not only providing the political knowledge to the students but it also helps students to get various attractive job. After completion of bachelor or master degree and qualifying competitive exam the students of political science can choose his /her career as Teacher(school, college, university ), Research Analyst (university, research institution), Political Journalist, Civil Service, Administrative Service and Political Adviser. A graduate of political science can often pursue a career as a judge.
