Introduction

Students of P. R. Thakur Government College organized a community outreach program for schoolchildren of Thakurnagar on the auspicious day of “World Book and Copyright Day” (23rd April) on 23rd April, 2025.

Objectives

Address local community needs, foster social responsibility among students, and bridge gaps in education, health, and environmental awareness

Key Activities Conducted

– Educational Outreach
– Literacy Drives: Tutoring sessions for schoolchildren, focusing on foundational math, science, and language skills.
– Career Guidance: Sessions on college admissions & skill development.

This Matters –
Such programs align with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) emphasis on community engagement and holistic education. They also empower students to become change-makers while addressing real-world challenges.
